While many may consider Club Street a pub crawlers' corridor, or perhaps more recently a restaurant strip, L'Angelus has been laying its claim to the area for years, and any French expat can testify to that. Regularly abuzz with melodic conversations and the scents of butter, garlic and fresh baked bread wafting through the air, you don't need to be fluent to understand the classic French dining experience that's in store.

The menu features every variation of tartar, pate and terrine you have likely ever seen outside France, and doesn't mince items when it comes to their vast selection of steaks, cheeses, desserts and wine either. Why be brief when you have decades of bona fide talent in the kitchens, not only able to prepare any dish of the French culinary encyclopaedia, but able to pull it off with such characteristic finesse. Overall, this is perhaps the most unapologetically French of any French brasserie in town, and a must-try for any Francophile foodie.
